Dr Samson Raphael Osagie is a Legal Practitioner and Managing Partner of SAMSON IMA-OSAGIE & ASSOCIATES (LAW&JUSTICE CHAMBERS), a Law Firm based in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory of Nigeria with satellite offices in Lagos, Port Harcourt and Benin City. He is the Chairman of the African Bar Association (Nigerian Forum) and an adjunct Lecturer at the National Institute of Legislative and Democratic Studies (NILDS). He comes with a robust experience in the practice and teaching of Law particularly in areas like Civil, Criminal, Corporate and Energy Law.

Dr. Osagie also has a boardroom experience in Corporate Governance having served as Executive Director and Business Development Strategist at the Nigerian Communications Satellite Company Limited.  He has also served in several boards of private and public companies as Company Secretary/Legal Adviser and has extensive cognate industry and management experience with diverse multidisciplinary background.

He is a Corporate Legal Advisor and strategist, Compliance and Regulation expert, Fellow of the Institute of Strategic Management of Nigeria, Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, United Kingdom, Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators, Nigeria, Fellow of the Corporate Institute of Administration and a Doctoral Fellow of the Institute of Financial and Investment Analyst of Nigeria. His practice of Law spans multiple fields like Taxation, Oil and Gas (Energy), Banking, Aviation, Mergers, Acquisitions, Constitutional and Electoral matters. Dr Samson Osagie also acquired specialized training in High Performance Leadership in Oxford University, United Kingdom, Strategic Business Management at Harvard University Extension School, Cambridge, Massachusetts, Executive Management Course at the University of Pretoria and Legislative Strengthening Management at the International Law Institute, Washington DC, USA.

Between 1999 and 2015, Dr Osagie was a member of the Edo State House of Assembly and House of Representatives where he effectively represented Uhunmwode State Constituency and Orhionmwon/Uhunmwode Federal Constituency respectively rising to the position of the Minority Whip of the House of Representatives.  As a Legislator Dr Osagie exhibited exemplary Legislative competence in leading debates on critical national issues for effective governance and service delivery.

Dr. Osagie is the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Edo State, Nigeria, and other areas of competence engages in Legislative diplomacy alongside other principal officers of the National Assembly to the United States Council on Foreign Relations, States Department (African Desk) and the Congress to represent Nigeria as part of engagement with international Community on the multiple issues of Electoral Reforms, Anti-Corruption, Niger Delta crisis, Security and democratization in Nigeria.

Dr. Osagie is one of the Elite Training Faculty for the “Canada-Africa Inter-Parliamentary Roundtable, Investment Tours and Legislative Retreat” program holding at the EY-Centre, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, Ontario Parliament Building and other Centres in Ontario, from 18-26, June, 2025.
