Africa’s combined infrastructure needs provides the essential services that underpin African society. Proactive and coordinated efforts are necessary to strengthen and maintain secure, functioning, and resilient infrastructure – including physical assets and state-owned facilities, private and public sector digital/cyber networks, and systems – that are vital to public confidence, private sector safety, prosperity, and well-being of Africans.

Physical and critical infrastructure must be secure and able to withstand and rapidly recover from all hazards. Achieving this will require integration with the national preparedness system across prevention, protection, mitigation, response, and recovery.

African Critical Infrastructure Security summit, will facilitate deeper cooperation and synergies for Africa’s infrastructure Protection and Resilience. It will bring together leading stakeholders from industry, operators, agencies and governments to collaborate on securing Africa.

The Summit will look at developing on research methodologies, fields and industry scenarios that will help create better understanding of the issues and the threats, to facilitate cooperation to develop frameworks, enable good risk management, facilitate strategic planning and boost efficient implementation.
