Welcome to the official Canada-Africa Strategic Program 2026 platform, a pioneering multilateral initiative to boost inclusive development, trade, investment, and policy alignment between Canada and Africa. The program’s main theme is “Forging Sustainable Partnerships for a Shared Future—Unlocking a New Era of Cooperation.”
Program Overview
Between September 14 and 26, 2026, the world will witness the launch of an unprecedented international initiative, the Canada-Africa Strategic Program (CASP). Hosted in major Canadian cities, this significant event will gather African and Canadian leaders, multinational corporations, policymakers, investment institutions, municipal mayors, and development agencies over three vibrant weeks. It will feature strategic discussions, industry-focused missions, exhibitions, and investment matchmaking sessions.
Operating Guidance for Government Attendees
All activities, including the mission, retreat, side events, training sessions, and networking gatherings, are designed to offer a platform for professionals, personnel, and stakeholders to strengthen both internal and external initiatives. These events foster connections with inter- and intra-agency coordinators, facilitate the sharing of key capability needs, and enhance visibility within the broader business, investment, bilateral, and diplomatic circles.

Strengthen Africa’s overall global influence and increase Canada’s engagement with African institutions to improve coordination in diplomacy, peace efforts, and international policy initiatives.

Infrastructure and Financing:

Negotiation Preparedness:
Strengthen Africa’s negotiation skills through training, data-driven strategies, and policy simulations to attain fair and sustainable results.
Market Access and Business Facilitation:
Open Canadian markets to African goods, harmonize standards, and facilitate visa and business mobility to streamline cross-border trade and investment.
Investment Diplomacy:
Establish structured platforms for investment matchmaking, follow-up after forums, and the development of long-term Canada-Africa business councils.
The CASP Mission focuses on creating research methods, industry insights, and industry scenarios that enhance understanding of multidisciplinary issues. It also promotes collaboration to develop frameworks, supports risk management, assists in strategic planning, and fosters effective implementation.

Inter-Parliamentary Roundtable Investment Tour & Legislative Retreats
African and Canadian parliamentarians will gather for a joint discussion on legislation, emphasizing trade-friendly frameworks, investment protections, and the exchange of innovation policies.
Inter-Municipal Joint Mission & Council Authorities Training & Retreat
City and state officials will attend a multi-day leadership retreat focused on governance, smart cities, sustainable public procurement, and investment readiness at the sub-national level.
Exhibitions & Innovation Showcases
Trade and innovation exhibition featuring over 300 booths from Canadian, African, and international companies, highlighting solutions, investment projects, and export-ready innovations.
Governors-Premiers Investment Roundtable and Deals Matchmaking Forum
A closed Dealroom platform that facilitates partnerships, co-financing agreements, and investments across the value chain, backed by legal and financial advisors.
Elite Golf Bow: Parliamentary Leadership Excellence, Award & Business Networking Night
This day will be an exclusive high-level event to honor distinguished parliamentary leaders, acknowledge excellence in governance and public service, and encourage strategic connections among policymakers, investors, diplomats, and corporate executives. Held in a sophisticated golf and networking setting, it offers a unique platform for dialogue, partnership development, and recognizing influential leaders who drive economic growth, legislative progress, and international collaboration.
