Background And Context

Africa and Canada share a long-standing history of multilateral cooperation, shared democratic values, and people-to-people exchanges. However, the potential for structured, equitable, and scalable investment and trade partnerships remains underleveraged. In the era of global economic transition and value chain diversification, the time is ripe to position Africa and Canada as strategic partners in sustainable trade, export development, and investment-driven industrialization. The ACIEP-Mission will reflect a variety of strategic intent, mutual prosperity, and long-term partnership goals.

This flagship initiative will be anchored under the theme: “Bridging Markets, Building Futures: Advancing Africa-Canada Trade, Investment, and Inclusive Growth.
